Summary Description
The City of Urbandale is currently accepting applications for IT Administrator. Reporting to the Director of Technology, this position plays a key role in supporting and maintaining the City's technology infrastructure and enterprise systems. The IT Administrator is responsible for managing physical, virtual, and cloud-based server environments; providing both desk side and remote technical support; administering Microsoft 365 services; and supporting a diverse portfolio of enterprise and department-specific applications. The role also supports public safety systems and telecommunications infrastructure, contributing to the City’s mission of responsive and innovative service delivery.

The IT Administrator works directly with employees across the organization to understand operational needs, troubleshoot challenges, research technology options, and recommend tools that improve efficiency and service delivery. This role helps bridge the gap between technology and the people who rely on it. The IT Administrator role combines technical expertise with consultation and collaboration, providing an opportunity to contribute to both daily operations and long-term improvements. This position offers a flexible work schedule with the expectation of availability for after-hours maintenance, emergency response, and on-call support as needed.

The City of Urbandale offers a comprehensive salary and benefits package. Benefits for this position include:
Health Insurance:
