I recently returned to Des Moines after living in Holland, Michigan for 9 years.  I work with corporations and organizations to raise funds for Food Bank of Iowa. We are in 55 counties in Iowa and have 700 partners including pantries, school pantries, veterans and senior programs, youth services and backpack programs for elementary students.  Right now, food insecurity is at record levels.  Iowa is among three states which saw the largest increase (44.6%) in the number of food-insecure people in Feeding America's latest "Map the Meal Gap" report.  15.4% of Iowa children face hunger and 37% of Iowa households do not make enough to cover basic needs.  I am passionate about this vital work and helping those in need in our communities.  We'd love to have your organization come and tour and/or volunteer with us.

Hi, I’m Michael Fitzwater, owner of Mfitz Services LLC. I started this business to offer honest, reliable junk removal and cleanup services to the community I call home. Before Mfitz Services, I managed delivery operations, trained commercial drivers, and earned an associate-equivalent degree from the University of Toyota. I also served as a volunteer firefighter in Lebanon, Oregon—an experience that taught me teamwork, pressure management, and community service. Outside of work, I’ve volunteered over 200 hours at SafeHaven Humane Society, helping animals and giving back to a cause I care about deeply. That same commitment drives how I serve customers today.
