If you've never tried Nepali cuisine, Taste of Nepal is a perfect opportunity. Not only will you be able to try a variety of different dishes, but the chef will be on hand to help explain what's on the buffet and how it's prepared. You'll also learn to make Momo – a traditional steamed dumpling that is a staple of Nepali cuisine. You'll be able to make a few dumplings that you can take home and cook – along with a recipe so you can make more. And you'll be able to sample some professionally prepared Momo as part of your meal.
As with all of our Guess Who's Coming to Dinner gatherings, proceeds from this event support CultureALL education programs. Your donation helps send CultureALL Ambassadors into schools and organizations around the community to share their cultural traditions with community members of all ages. Through these programs, the Iowans learn to better understand and value the cultures of others and discover the many ways that the people of these cultures enrich our community.
