Darlene Wagner, Career Connected Learning Facilitator - Urbandale Community School District
Darlene Wagner has over 20 years of experience as a school counselor and currently serves as the Career Connected Learning Facilitator for the Urbandale Community School District. In this role, she helps students explore careers and engage in experiences that support the development of their individual career and academic plans. She collaborates with schools, local businesses, and community organizations to create meaningful career exploration and work-based learning opportunities that connect classroom learning to real-world experiences. Deeply committed to the Urbandale community, Darlene is passionate about helping students discover their strengths, set goals, and consider ways to stay and contribute locally, strengthening both the workforce and the community.

Kolby Knupp, Program Manager - Iowa Office of Apprenticeship
Kolby Knupp has been with the Iowa Office of Apprenticeship as the Program Manager since Spring of 2024 and began her work with apprenticeships just as the State of Iowa was granted authority as the State Apprenticeship Agency (SAA). As Program Manager, Kolby manages the day-to-day operations of the Iowa Office of Apprenticeship, overseeing policies, systems, communications, and grants! Prior to work at Iowa Workforce Development, Kolby worked for the State of Colorado; supporting college students in navigating the complexities of paying for college while reducing debt and increasing economic mobility. When not advocating for Registered Apprenticeships, Kolby loves reading and gardening!
