[5:30 p.m.] Film Screening of Gridshock, a documentary exposing the hidden and disturbing reality behind sex trafficking in Iowa and the often-overlooked reality about why the industry thrives - because there is a demand for it. The film features survivors of sex trafficking, local and federal law enforcement, advocates, politicians, and a recovering sex addict. What you think you know about sex trafficking will be challenged.
 
[7 p.m.] Internet Safety The National Human Trafficking Hotline reported an 1,800% increase in online grooming and exploitation since 2021. Learn more from Melody Stone MA, LMHC Founder, North & Central Iowa Coalition Against Human Trafficking about the signs, how to avoid being targeted, how to keep yourself safe from traffickers and predators on/offline, and safeguard your devices. 
 
Due to the mature content of the film and discussion, this program is intended for mature audiences (recommended 16+ for film; 10+ with parent for discussion.)
