Metro Women Connect June Workshop Registration Open
DES MOINES, Iowa –Iowa Women Lead Change Metro Women Connect presents: Gaining and Enhancing Leadership Experience through Volunteering workshop on Tuesday, June 12 from 8 - 11:30 a.m. at Holiday Inn & Suites Des Moines Northwest (4800 Merle Hay Rd.). Presenters/Panelists include local experts:

•       Anna Nalean - Director of Nonprofit Relations, Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines
•       Shirley Burgess - Volunteer Engagement Officer, United Way of Central Iowa
•       Jem Gong-Browne - Director of Corporate Strategy, Principal Financial Group
•       Monica Friedman - SVP Human Resources, Nationwide
•       Beth Jones - Manager of Public Affairs, Delta Dental
•       Tiffany O’Donnell - CEO, Iowa Women Lead Change
•       Emily Toribio - Corporate Outreach & Communications Coordinator, Fareway Stores, Inc.

Attendees will:

•       Explore different leadership and other skill-building opportunities through non-profit boards and other volunteer activities.
•       Identify strategies for placement on non-profit boards or in key volunteer roles.
•       Learn about the benefits of involvement in non-profit boards and other volunteer activities.
•       Prepare to excel in non-profit board and other volunteer roles.
