First Charity Event for Bocce League Announced

Riverbend Sport & Social Club has chosen Mosaic in Central Iowa as the first nonprofit partner for their bocce ball league that plays on Monday nights at Peace Tree Brewing's Des Moines Branch. The league's charity night will be held on Monday, August 14th from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Peace Tree in the East Village. Money will be raised through $1 cornhole tosses and $2 raffle tickets for both Peace Tree and Riverbend Sport & Social prizes, with all proceeds benefiting Mosaic in Central Iowa.

The public is encouraged to attend the event! Bocce ball is played on the lawn outside Peace Tree's tasting room and will begin at 6:30 p.m. Come learn more about Riverbend Sports & Social's upcoming sports leagues and events around Des Moines, as well as how you can get involved with Mosaic in Central Iowa, a nonprofit that serves adults with intellectual disabilities.
