The Urbandale Centennial Steering Committee invites the public to attend an Easter sunrise service April 16 at Living History Farms, 11121 Hickman Road.
The free, ecumenical outdoor service begins at 6:45 a.m. on the slope south of the Church of the Land. It will be led by representatives of the Urbandale Ministerial Alliance and will include music by a traditional brass ensemble, as well as a contemporary praise band. Refreshments will be served in the lower level of the Church of the Land following the 45-minute service.
Attendees should bring their own lawn chairs. Parking will be available in the main lot east of the Visitor Center, with handicap accessible parking on the north side of the church.
In case of inclement weather, the service will be held inside the Church of the Land.
