Every month members of the Urbandale Chamber come together to network, enjoy lunch and listen to a speaker to learn about happenings in Urbandale and around the Greater Des Moines Area.

Topic: What Exceptional Leaders Do Differently
Speaker: Dr. Christi Hegstad, President, MAP Professional Development, Inc. 

When you think of a truly exceptional leader, who comes to mind? What makes them stand out? Excellent leadership - the kind that makes us want to give our all to a vision, cause, or purpose - is not an inborn trait but rather a combination of mindset and skills that can be developed. You can become an extraordinary leader whether you lead a company, a team, a family, and/or your own life.
 
By the end of this session, you will be able to:

• Define the 5 qualities that extraordinary leaders share, as well as strategies for developing them
• Clarify your own leadership strengths and how to leverage them
• Identify specific examples of extraordinary leaders
• Determine one key action to expand your own leadership immediately
• Discover how "everyday leaders" often become the most influential
